she got hitched
Blog, oh blog. I've been bad to you. It's been too long.So yesterday a wonderful friend of mine got married. It was an amazing day. I got to: hang out with long-lost friends (who were, coincidentally, no longer lost), eat yummy food AND mint ice cream, wear an orange dress, get lots of hugs, watch many grown Canadian men play water basketball, and witness the most important day in Linz's life. Four words for you: fun in the sun.
In other news... I went kayaking on Friday. Go Aunt Carol for thinking of fun things to do! We got within five feet of sea lions who were putting on a great show for us. Want to know how I knew they were sea lions and not seals? Because I could see there ears. Sea lion. See ears. Just a little trick that I learned from the ever-helpful gally help on the latest whale-watching expedition. (Ok, ok... I know that the trick would work with "seal" too - since it also sounds like see - but work with me here!) Also, I've had the most amazing breath of fresh air lately (one long inhale), because kbinthegambia is currently kbinfallbrook and that's just fabulous for me. We've spent hours just talking, sharing about my wacky life in Argentina, hearing lots of stories about western africa... crazy where life takes us, eh? (Or rather, where God takes us!) Incredible.
Well. That's about as much excitement as I've had from February to May combined... and all in a week!
