forty hours of cubicle bliss.
So, I realize that I'm not going to feel this way forever. Or maybe even next week. Attribute it to inhaling too much copy toner, but today, on day #7 of working in a cubicle, I'm in a working man's state of euphoria. In no particular order, here are some perks of working in an office...
- taking a travel mug of coffee (yes, I've joined the dark side) with coffee-mate mocha mint mixed in for pre-Christmasy goodness
- having a copy machine AND a shredder within walking distance
- three styrofoam-filled cubicle walls to decorate with my own self-commissioned art (yes, be very afraid)
- actually reading emails in my inbox
- office chatter AND office snacks (the most generous office-mates share their sugary goodness)
- the morning commute with Ash and never quite finding a radio station that's entertaining enough
- two words: post-it
- leaving at 5:00ish, closing the computer, and never looking back
I realize that I'm a novice at this office thing, and I also admit that I sure do miss my friends in Argentina. But, at the end of the day, working in a cube isn't too bad after all.
