my idiosyncratic self
(Aside: Whenever I post something, it takes about four days for it to actually appear on my blog. I'm not sure why, but it's just that way. The blog gods are angry with me for some unknown reason. Or maybe the information just has to travel a really, really long way... from Argentina to Blogcentral, USA and back to Argentina... and, well, maybe the little elves that carry the information back and forth are tired. Hmm... very viable option. Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know my woes of blogdom. So since this won't be seen by public eyes on August 31st... which is when I'm writing it... I'll just go ahead and wish you all a happy September.)Back to the real reason I'm here...
I'm having an identity crisis. You see, I really want to be the person that squeezes the end of the toothpaste tube to get the toothpaste out. But I'm not. In a completely disorganized and reckless manner, I squeeze the middle of the tube. Some people are so careful about their toothpaste distribution that they can actually roll up the end of the tube as they use it up. I would love to be one of those people. Everything orderly. Clean. Efficient. But I'm not.
But it doesn't end there. I don't, like all civilized people should, put on both socks and then proceed to put on my shoes. No, I haphazardly put on my right sock, then my right shoe, and then my left sock followed by my left shoe. And every morning I think to myself, "And if there were an emergency at this very moment, like a fool, I would run out the door with my right foot fully dressed and the poor left foot left bare!" But I can't seem to change the habit. I guess I'm just naturally that way. Chaotic.
And here's the real insight into all of this: I actually think about these things. Often. I think I might have a problem.
