a day like today...
The goings-on of yours truly:- woke up in the casa of Iri and Flor... took a taxi home and had the driver ask me what I thought of Kirchner (the President of Argentina) allowing Bush (my President... he emphasized this fact) to come here to Argentina (mind you, I was not yet fully awake)
- staged a piquete outside of Mel's door with a sign and a fake drum and everything... chant with me: Bring Back Mel's Blog!!!
- participated in a staff meeting that involved 19 people. my first year on STINT, each of us could sit on our own couch during staff meeting. now there's standing room only. crazy.
- ate at the Trattoria with Ash... was dazzled by their attempt to move up the food chain (get it? a restaurant moving up the food chain. ha!) with fine silverware and tablecloths
- briefed the new STINTers on sharing the gospel in Argentina (as if that's possible to "brief" someone on sharing the gospel)... "welcome to your new life." then went to Humanities and randomly (or so it seemed) ran into a girl I met over a year-and-a-half ago who still had the "Four Spiritual Laws" (Crusade's gospel presentation) that I had given her with my contact info. on it... um, God? yeah... think He planned that one.
- made a scene (royally) in the MIDDLE of the sidewalk upon discovering Mel's new addition (a nose ring) which wonderfully suits her!
- browsed the selection of home appliances at Garbarino... bought a coffee maker for Miranda (happy birthday!), which I can honestly say is something I never thought I would do (by a coffee maker, that is.)
- listened to Elton John love songs while talking with my Love
- ate some argentine beef (and argentine chicken for that matter) with my nineteen teammates. not kidding. there were twenty of us. and two children. chaos. (but at least it was fun chaos!)
And that brings me here... sitting in bed, on my way to going to sleep, accompanied once again by Elton John and a lemonade-scented candle that I stole from Kell. Night, night everyone.
